SEC Nation picks a different SEC school to visit each weekend to preview that weekend’s slate of college football action. For Week 12, the crew will head to Athens, GA for the much-anticipated matchup between No. 3. Georgia and No. 7 Tennessee.
“So much on the line in Athens on Saturday. We’ll be heading there for Tennessee-Georgia!,” said the program’s official announcement on social media.

This will be the 3rd weekend in a row that Georgia is featured on the program. In Week 10, the crew was in Jacksonville for the Florida-Georgia rivalry. Then, last weekend, the crew went to Oxford for the Georgia-Ole Miss game.
Tennessee, meanwhile, has only been the featured matchup once in 2024, when the show was in Knoxville for the game against Alabama. The Vols made 4 appearances on the show in 2023.
The crew last traveled to Athens in October of 2023 when the Bulldogs dominated the Kentucky Wildcats.
Entering Week 12, Tennessee-Georgia appears to be the best matchup in the SEC. Two SEC teams are playing FCS opponents while 2 other conference squads are playing lowly Group of 5 opponents. Tennessee-Georgia is the only matchup between ranked SEC teams in Week 12.
Lately, this rivalry has been one-sided. The Bulldogs have won 7 in a row against the Vols, with Tennessee’s last win coming in 2016. In last season’s meeting, the Bulldogs won 38-10 in Knoxville.
This exciting rivalry will kick off from Sanford Stadium on Saturday at 7:30 p.m. ET.
