People around the country have high expectations for Georgia this fall.

SEC Network analysts Marcus Spears and Jordan Rodgers are no different. The duo predicted every game for the Bulldogs this season. Both picked Georgia to finish 10-2 in the regular season — but they arrived there differently. They each predicted the Bulldogs would start 7-0.

In Game 8, they diverged, as Spears has Florida halting Georgia’s undefeated season. Rodgers disagreed, predicting the Bulldogs would move to 8-0 with a win over the Gators. The following week against South Carolina, they once again took opposing sides. Spears believed the Bulldogs would bounce back and top the Gamecocks, while Rodgers viewed it as a “trap game,” predicting Will Muschamp would knock off his alma mater in his first appearance at Sanford Stadium as an opposing coach.

The pair was in unison on Georgia’s second and final regular-season loss, as they both believed Auburn would prove too tough to tame at Jordan-Hare Stadium.

Still, at 10-2 overall, and with a 6-2 record in league play, Spears and Rodgers said the Bulldogs should be in the mix for the division crown and a berth in the SEC Championship Game come December.
