The SEC Network has just made a move to bolster its team of analysts for the upcoming college football season as former Georgia Bulldog and NFL tight end Benjamin Watson has been hired by the network.

At this time, it’s unclear if Tim Tebow will be an analyst for the network this season as he is currently fighting to land a roster spot with the Jacksonville Jaguars.

Watson’s role at the SEC Network will include appearances on SEC Now and SEC Football Final this season and he begins his duties next week as 2021 SEC Media Days are set to begin on Monday.

“I’m thrilled to have the opportunity to be joining ESPN and SEC Network,” said Watson. “I look forward to diving in with my new colleagues and analyzing the best conference in college football. The SEC is near and dear to me. Like all the fans, I can’t wait for kickoff weekend.”

Watson played in Athens from 2001-2003 before going on to a 15-year career in the NFL. During his first season in the pros, Watson won a Super Bowl ring with the New England Patriots.
