SEC Shorts hilariously shows how Georgia fans handle preseason 'hope'
Georgia is no stranger to offseason optimism. That optimism, however, has frequently led to crushing heartbreak during the season, as depicted in the latest video from “SEC Shorts.”
The latest clip, “How Georgia fans deal with hope” finds two football fans encountering a woman named Hope asking to be embraced by UGA. Remembering being “burned” by hope in 2004, 2007, 2008, 2012, 2017 and 2018, the Georgia fan promptly pepper sprays Hope in his attempt to get rid of her.
The UGA fan’s friend is perplexed as to why he won’t accept Hope with Georgia returning double-digit starters, coming off of a No. 1 recruiting class with a top-notch staff. Hope reminds the fan that this year Georgia gets a healthy JT Daniels for a full season, a regular season without Alabama, LSU or Texas A&M and transfer portal additions Arik Gilbert and Derion Kendrick. The fan counters that he’s prepared to lose to a South Carolina team that won’t be bowl-eligible.
