My lock of the week is the Georgia Bulldogs over the Florida Gators in Jacksonville, Fla., on Saturday.

Georgia has become one of the hottest teams in the SEC in the past few weeks, even with the absence of Heisman hopeful Todd Gurley. Nick Chubb has been running wild the past two weeks, and quarterback Hutson Mason has a newfound confidence.

Georgia is also playing some of the best defense in the country as of late. With Gurley likely back in the lineup along with the confidence of Mason, I see this game getting out of hand quickly.

Although Florida does have one of the better defenses in the SEC, they haven’t seen a run game like the one UGA boasts. Florida’s offense is also one of the worst in the SEC and they are severely lacking confidence. Not to mention they’ve benched previous starting quarterback Jeff Driskel, and have named true freshman Treon Harris as the starting quarterback for Saturday.

Gator Nation has also just recently been ridiculed by one of their own, Tim Tebow, for the fans’ booing of Driskel in Ben Hill Griffin two weeks ago. I will never understand fans booing their own players. It’s ridiculous and completely uncalled for.

So with all that is going on within Gator Nation, I see this one getting ugly pretty quickly.

Go ahead and bet the bank on Georgia to take care of Florida and cover the 13 points.
