Social media reacts to 1st half of Georgia-Georgia Tech game, Jake Fromm's struggles
The Georgia Bulldogs are in control against Georgia Tech.
UGA leads the Yellow Jackets 17-7 at halftime. The Dawgs’ defense is playing well against the Yellow Jackets’ offense, and if not for a muffed punt by Dominick Blaylock, GT likely wouldn’t have any points.
However, hidden in that score, Jake Fromm and the passing game has struggled yet again, and it’s been a reoccurring theme in 2019. Fromm finished just 8-of-17 for 105 yards and one touchdown in the first half. Three receivers caught passes in Tyler Simmons, Charlie Woerner (tight end) and Demetris Robertson. Fromm overthrew a wide open Simmons for a touchdown in the second quarter.
Lawrence Cager is out with an injury, and George Pickens didn’t even play in the first half.
Yes, UGA will likely win this game; however, there are still big concerns with the passing game ahead of the SEC Championship showdown against LSU.
That’s what social media is discussing at halftime:
Jake Fromm: 100% the starting quarter back for UGA in 2020. I don’t remember a quarterback that has hurt his sky high draft stock more than Fromm in 2019. Are we sure this isn’t secretly Joe Cox?

What the HELL has happened to Jake Fromm????

Jake Fromm at Georgia Tech
Two strongest parts of his game are the presnap recognition and his accuracy. First three plays of the game shows lapses in both. First, almost a pick six not accounting for the LB undercutting the flat. pic.twitter.com/yKauFtoedU

@UGA plays like this next weekend, it’s going to be ugly! From special teams to the inconsistency of Jake Fromm, @KirbySmartUGA better figure it out now!

#Dawgs Jake Fromm doesn't look like a very confident quarterback. This far into the season, you'd think he's had enough reps with the receivers to have throws timed right but it just isn't happening. Is it coaching? Not enough practice? I don't get it.

I have never seen a QB regress like Jake Fromm has. What happened to this kid? He’s never been elite but he’s always been smart and accurate. He’s is neither of those things now. Kirby needs to bench him for the rest of the game. Send a message this performance is not acceptable

I told myself I was going to stick by Jake Fromm, but homie is playing like he’s never played football in his life. Come on Jake.
