Georgia already was closing in on a historically good basketball recruiting class for the program and the good news continues to pour in for the Bulldogs as South Carolina big man Rodney Howard has announced his commitment to UGA.

The 6-foot-10, 230-pound Greenville native picked Georgia over Georgia Tech and Ole Miss. According to 247Sports Composite Rankings, Howard ranks as the No. 7 overall prospect from South Carolina and the No. 42 center in the nation.

Before Howard made his decision to join the class, Georgia already had the nation’s No. 8 recruiting class, which includes the nation’s No. 2 overall prospect, Anthony Edwards.

Howard announced his decision on Wednesday afternoon by tweeting out, “Blessed to be in this situation! #GoDawgs”
