Stetson Bennett III, the Georgia quarterback’s father, shared a proud moment he had for his son as he watched the national championship celebration inside Lucas Oil Stadium.

The father shared that he and his son have similar demeanors, as they don’t get too high on the highs, and too low on the lows. He said he felt a peace about it all day, and felt good about the game against Alabama.

Stetson Bennett III shared that his father changed their family when he went off to college to play football. Asked what he’ll tell the championship quarterback, the father said it won’t change from before.

“I’m going to tell him the same thing I tell him every time I see him, I love you, I’m proud of you and you can do anything you want in the world you want to do, but you can’t just want it, you gotta work,” he told WSB-TV. “So proud of him, the Lord is so thankful.”
