Stetson Bennett, Kirby Smart share thoughts on Georgia QB’s NFL potential
By Adam Spencer
Published:
Stetson Bennett just had one of the best games of his storied college football career, leading the Georgia Bulldogs to a 65-7 win over TCU in the College Football Playoff title game.
But there are still question marks about whether or not Bennett has what it takes to make it in the NFL.
After the win on Monday night, Bennett downplayed that NFL conversation, saying simply that there’s enough game tape for NFL teams to look at:
Georgia QB Stetson Bennett on what he’d want to tell NFL personnel about himself: “I don’t know. I’ve been here long enough for sure, so there’s game tape … Hard worker, pretty good at football. Smart”

Coach Kirby Smart strongly said that Bennett deserves an opportunity to show what he can do in the pro ranks:
Georgia head coach Kirby Smart: “People have slept on Stetson Bennett for too long. He deserves an opportunity to play at the next level”

Bennett can now turn his attention to the 2023 NFL Draft in April. We’ll see if he can impress NFL teams moving forward.
