Stetson Bennett might be the biggest dark horse surprise of the 2023 NFL Draft. The former Georgia QB, who led the Bulldogs to two consecutive national titles, is generating buzz among multiple teams, according to reports.

Just a few short months ago Bennett’s draft stock was low, and the QB was predicted as a late 6th-round pick, or possibly undrafted free agent. But after an impressive showing at the NFL Combine, Bennett has garnered interest from multiple teams and has taken private meetings or workouts with 10 different NFL franchises according to NFL insider Tom Pelissero.

The QB is now projected anywhere from a 4th to 6th-round pick per reports.

It’s been a rocky few months for the former Georgia QB. Bennett led the Bulldogs to their second national championship in two years in 2022 and was named MVP of the National Championship Game. He was also a Heisman finalist.

After his impressive performances on the field, Bennett had a fall from grace, when he appeared intoxicated during the televised Georgia celebration parade. Shortly after, Bennett was arrested in Dallas for Public Intoxication.

It appears as though Bennett may be making an early comeback with surprising top performances at the combine. After testing well, and positive in-person interviews, Bennett’s draft stock appears to be back on the rise.
