Former Georgia RB Todd Gurley wore No. 30 on his jersey when he was with the Los Angeles Rams for the first few seasons of his NFL career.

However, he’s now with the Atlanta Falcons, and he’s decided to switch things up, going with the No. 21 jersey. The problem? That was the number the legendary Deion Sanders wore during his time with the Falcons.

Per an interview with 92.9 The Game, Gurley claims Sanders isn’t a big fan of him breaking out the No. 21 jersey again:

“Prime was hatin’ on me. He told me don’t wear it,” Gurley said. “If I was Prime, I wouldn’t want nobody be wearing my number either.”

Interestingly, it’s not like Gurley is the first one to wear No. 21 since Sanders left. Recently, CB Desmond Trufant also wore the No. 21 jersey.

It doesn’t look like Gurley will be backing down from wearing No. 21, so we’ll see if PrimeTime backs off or not.
