Todd Monken gets blasted by Georgia fans as offense struggles mightily at Kentucky
Todd Monken has largely escaped Georgia fan criticism in recent years, and has not come close to the Mike Bobo-level ire from a decade or more ago.
But the Georgia offensive coordinator was the subject of increased fan frustrated amid the offensive struggles at Kentucky as the Bulldogs had 3 field goals in the first half before a third-quarter touchdown. By late in the third quarter, Georgia had 116 passing yards, and was 6-for-12 and third and fourth down conversions. Kentucky stoned Georgia near the goal line, and then went 99 yards to pull within 16-6 with 9:52 left in the fourth quarter.
Here’s a sample of some of the fan criticism:
Todd Monken calls more designed runs for Bennett than Napier does for AR. Let that sink in too

Todd Monken and Stetson Bennett must’ve went out for drinks before the game.

Todd Monken has had his worst game I think I’ve seen him have no creativity no Bowers no Washington in the red zone just try and smash it down UK’s throat isn’t going to work but he won’t change and that’s why this is still a game

I just don’t know what these play calls are today by #UGA offensive coordinator Todd Monken. A little bit of it is not executing, however, that run at the end of the third quarter was questionable. Why not try to run it in-between the tackles there behind Carter?

Todd Monken isn’t going to fully open that red zone playbook until he has to
