Tom Crean and the Georgia Bulldogs are having an awful season, and many are wondering if the coach’s tenure in Athens will soon be coming to an end.

After Saturday’s 85-68 home loss to Ole Miss, Crean didn’t do himself any favors, either.

A Zoom mishap, in which Crean thought the call was over, but the feed was still live, resulted in him calling out a graduate assistant for leaking the news that assistant coach Wade Mason’s suspension (via 247Sports):

“There’s no question we’re concerned in there that our GA really — Rashaan [Surles] exposed it,” Crean said. “He’d have to have it organized, man. Somebody’s organized the whole thing. Somebody has. There ain’t no way that guy got some of the player’s numbers. Well, we’ve just got to keep figuring out what we’re going to do next.”

Also during the hot mic situation, Crean harshly criticized transfer guard Aaron Cook saying he’s not as good as he thinks he is:

“Aaron is just a — Aaron’s not close to as good as he thinks he is, and every time there’s a problem he wears down,” Crean said. “Like I said — I said, ‘If you played with as much edge as you’re talking to me right now, you wouldn’t be having any issues at all.’ But I said, ‘But you’re not going to talk like that, OK? You can play like that, but you’re not going to talk like that.’”

Obviously, that’s not a good look for a guy making millions of dollars to run a team that is currently sporting an overall record of 6-21 (and a 1-13 mark in SEC play).

We’ll see what the fallout is from this situation, but it doesn’t sound great for Crean. Georgia heads to Texas A&M on Tuesday night before hosting rival Florida on Saturday afternoon in Athens.
