Trae Young had the attention of Atlanta-area sports fans on Sunday. But the Atlanta Hawks star helped everyone turn their attention to Georgia ahead of Monday’s national championship game against TCU.

“I know we’ve got a lot of Georgia fans out here in LA, ready to represent our Dawgs in LA tomorrow,” he said. “So we going get home, support them and tomorrow’s all about the Dawgs. So I’m ready to watch that.”

Young and the Hawks knocked off the LA Clippers on Sunday on the road, 112-108, as Young poured in 30 points. In the win, Atlanta coach Nate McMillan earned his 750th career victory, which put him fourth all-time among active coaches.

The Hawks return to action on Wednesday, so they have plenty of time to enjoy the Bulldogs and Horned Frogs on ESPN on Monday night.
