Travon Walker, Jordan Davis, and Nakobe Dean were all key parts of Georgia’s national championship season in 2021.

All 3 players are now in the NFL: Walker, the No. 1 overall pick in the most recent draft, is with the Jacksonville Jaguars, while Davis, picked 13th overall, and Dean, a 3rd-round selection, are with the Philadelphia Eagles. On Sunday, they will reunite on the football field as the 2-1 Jaguars face the 3-0 Eagles at Lincoln Financial Field.

“All of us are close, don’t get me wrong, but Jordan Davis and Nakobe, I’m probably closer to those guys a lot more than some of the other guys,” Walker told Mia O’Brien of 1010XL radio in Jacksonville on Wednesday. “Jordan Davis, he was in my D-line room, so that was one of my best friends…Then you got Nakobe, which was my roommate my freshman year, and going on through college we’ve always been close. He knows my family, I know his family. He’s like my brother.”

When asked by O’Brien what message he had for Davis and Dean, Walker made clear that while his sole purpose on Sunday will be to help lead the Jaguars to victory, the bond between the 3 college teammates remains secure.

“Love y’all, but we’re coming to handle business,” he said. “It’s all love though. Go Dawgs!”
