The regular season may be over for the Georgia Bulldogs, but the action hasn’t stopped for one UGA player.

Redshirt junior offensive lineman Zach DeBell came to the aid of strip club bouncer early Thursday morning when a man named Joseph William Kirkland began causing a scene at Toppers International Showbar in Athens, Ga., according to a report from the Athens Banner-Herald.

Kirkland became unruly after exposing himself to a dancer at the strip club. When he refused to cover up, he was escorted out of the club by the club’s bouncer, Andrew Ho Kim. That’s when Kirkland became violent, swinging his elbows and punching Kim.

DeBell came to the assistance of Kim by picking up and carrying Kirkland out of the club.

When police arrived at the scene around 1 a.m. they found Kirkland “facedown on the sidewalk with his shoes off and the shoestrings tied around his ankles.”

From Athens Banner-Herald:

Debell “carried Kirkland out of the bar by his belt and collar and had placed him on the sidewalk outside the front doorway,” according to the police report.

Debell is a 6-foot-6, 298-pound offensive lineman from Tarpon Springs, Fla.
