Georgia's underrated commit: Shaquery Wilson
Recruits from South Florida are known for their world-class speed and incoming three-star Shaquery Wilson is no different for the Georgia Bulldogs.
Expected to use his lean 6-foot-3, 200-pound frame at the back end of Jeremy Pruitt’s defense, Wilson has fantastic closing speed and makes plays when the ball is in the air. Wilson is physical enough to play safety and has the coverage ability to compete for early playing time on the outside at the cornerback spot.

Wilson, of Coral Gables, Fla., was Georgia’s first commit in July during ‘Dawg Day’, a recruiting event in Athens. With the exit of senior cornerback Damian Swann, there’s a spot open in the Bulldogs’ secondary.
Oft-criticized heading into this season, Georgia’s defense finished with the SEC’s second-best unit against the pass this fall, giving up just 170.4 yards per game. The Bulldogs’ 16 total interceptions led the Eastern Division, as did 13 passing touchdowns allowed.
