This offseason, former 5-star WR Demetris Robertson announced he was transferring from Cal. He was considering a couple of SEC squads.

On Saturday, he made his decision official, and he’ll be staying in his home state to become a Georgia Bulldogs.

Robertson announced his choice to head to Athens in the video below, produced by Chimin’ In Media:

Robertson was the No. 1 receiver in the 2016 class, and had 50 catches for 767 yards and seven touchdowns for the Golden Bears as a freshman in 2016.

Per NCAA transfer rules, he’ll have to sit out the 2018 season, but he will give the Bulldogs quite a weapon in 2019 and beyond. The Bulldogs also have 5-star 2019 WR Jadon Haselwood at the moment, so the Dawgs could have the best receiver tandem in the country next fall.
