Saturday was quite the honor for Vince Dooley.

Georgia renamed its field “Dooley Field” at Sanford Stadium, and the ceremony took place prior to Saturday’s kickoff against Murray State.

The AJC’s Chip Towers caught the ceremony on video:

Dooley coached Georgia from 1964 to 1988 and finished with a 201-77-10 overall record. Under Dooley, the Bulldogs won one national championship in 1980 and six SEC Championships.
