Kirby Smart and Georgia escaped Auburn with a victory, 27-20, on The Plains, as the Bulldogs extended a pair of streaks.
The Bulldogs won their 7th straight against Auburn, and overall now have a 22-game winning streak, and they also snapped Auburn’s 4-game winning streak against No. 1 teams in Jordan-Hare Stadium.
Malaki Starks made a late interception on Payton Thorne’s 4th down pass to seal the win. That helped a late touchdown pass from Carson Beck to Brock Bowers stand up as Georgia left Auburn undefeated.
Bowers had 4 catches for 121 yards in the 4th quarter and converted a 3rd-and-long to keep the go-ahead drive alive.
