Kirby Smart spoke to ESPN’s Holly Rowe following Georgia’s statement win over No. 9 Ole Miss Saturday

Smart was short and to the point with Rowe for the most part. Here’s everything he had to say:

On what he liked from the win:

“To not punt in the first half, and just keep doing what they’re doing, they did an incredible job. Incredible job.”

On defensive replacements:

Those guys practice every day too, they practice really hard, and I thought those guys got confidence as the game went on and played better in a really tough environment against a really tough offense.

On clinching a SEC Championship berth, winning the East

“It means we’ve got to play Tennessee next week.”

On keeping focus on Tennessee, not the SEC Title game

“That’s not hard. (Tennessee’s) a really good football team and they’re a really hard prep for us. We’ve got to go on the road in the SEC and we’ve got to get back to work as soon as we can on that.”

The Bulldogs and Vols face off next week from Knoxville at Neyland Stadium. A kickoff time has not yet been announced.
