Yazeed Haynes, elite WR and recent Penn State decommit, announces SEC commitment
Yazeed Haynes, a 3-star wide receiver who recently decommitted from Penn State, has announced a commitment to play in the SEC.
Haynes, who is 6-foot-1 and 170 pounds from Fort Washington, Pennsylvania (North Penn), committed to Georgia after he collected 10 offers. He is the No. 83 wide receiver in the country in the class of 2023, and the No. 15 player in the state of Pennsylvania, according to the 247Sports Composite.
Haynes was committed to Rutgers before Penn State, and other offers were from Boston C0llege, Bowling Green, Maryland, Minnesota, Ole Miss, Towson and West Virginia.
“One thing that stood out to me was the coaching staff,” Haynes told Dawg Post. “It’s always a warm family feeling when I’m talking to the coaches. I also love the location of the school. One it’s (somewhere where) its typically warm and also it is close to Atlanta. Which is good for when football is done because it presents me many business opportunities. … I knew I wanted to be a Bulldog a little after my official visit. After keeping in contact with the coaches, I thought long and hard about my encounters with the coaches and the support they gave me, and eventually felt like Georgia was the place for me.”
