This time next week, Kentucky could have a quarterback committed to the program’s 2020 recruiting class.

That’s because Lexington Catholic signal caller Beau Allen is planning on announcing his commitment on Monday, according to PrepSpin. Allen’s official decision will be broadcast live by PrepSpin starting at 3:30 p.m. on Monday, May 6.

Allen, rated as a three-star prospect by 247Sports Composite Rankings, is coming off official visits to Washington State and Kentucky in recent weeks. In addition to those schools, Georgia, Duke and West Virginia are also recruiting the Kentucky native and have extending scholarships to the Lexington Catholic star. During his junior season, Allen threw for 3,729 yards and 42 touchdowns.

Kentucky’s 2020 recruiting class currently stands at three commitments, but two of those pledges have come in a week’s time. If the Wildcats do land Allen, Mark Stoops’ program will have a key piece of the recruiting class to build around heading into the summer.
