Benny Snell wants to lead Kentucky to more wins. And entering the 2018 season, the Wildcats junior running back has made the team’s fans a promise.

The team’s Twitter account shared a message that Snell had for “Big Blue Nation” fans ahead of Saturday’s season opener, in which he guaranteed that Kentucky will start to win more games.

“To the BBN fans, from this team you are going to see us win more games,” Snell said. “You are going to see a fight out of this Lexington team that you haven’t seen before. This team is a lot closer. We’re a lot [more] mature and we’re executing when we’re in between those white lines, every game, and I can promise you that.”

Last year, Snell rushed for 1,333 yards and 19 touchdowns in 13 games for the Wildcats. However, Kentucky went 7-6, marking its 10th straight season with seven or fewer wins. Kentucky hasn’t won eight games in a season since 2007. The Wildcats haven’t won a bowl game since the 2008 season.

But Snell is guaranteeing better results for Kentucky this year.

The Wildcats open the season on Saturday against Central Michigan on Saturday at 3:30 p.m. ET.
