What exactly is “Benny Snell football” all about? Benny Snell is glad you asked.

It hasn’t taken the rookie running back from Kentucky long to show off his personality to the Pittsburgh media and it appears the all-time leading rusher in Wildcat history is already a popular interview with his new team.

During his appearance at Friday’s rookie minicamp from Pittsburgh, the local media was grilling Snell about what he can potentially bring to the Steelers franchise as a rookie and it didn’t take long before the former UK standout went third person on them. That’s when he informed them about “Benny Snell football.”

When asked to explain what exactly that is, Snell went into detail that should sound very familiar to Kentucky fans:

Snell finished his collegiate career after rushing for 3,873 yards and an incredible 48 touchdowns in only three seasons on the field in Lexington. Both numbers represent all-time records at Kentucky. The only player in SEC history with more rushing touchdowns in only three seasons of play is Georgia’s Herschel Walker. The Steelers selected him with the 122nd overall pick in the 2019 NFL Draft.
