Big Blue upset! Reaction as Kentucky beats Florida in Lexington for first time since 1986

You’d have to go back 35 years to find the last time the Kentucky Wildcats defeated the Florida Gators in Lexington. On Saturday, the Wildcats rolled the clock back as they upset the No. 10 Gators, 20-13, at Kroger Field.

Kentucky last beat Florida 27-16 in Gainesville in 2018 to end a 31-game losing streak in the series, but with their victory over the Gators, they’ll certainly find themselves in the Top 25 ahead of their game against LSU on Oct. 9.

And the crowd in Lexington made it tough on the Gators offense, who was flagged for 8 false start penalties on the evening. At the end of the day, it’s a massive win for the Wildcats, who improve to 5-0.
