Cam Spencer is drawing some serious interest in the transfer portal, including from an SEC power.

Spencer entered the transfer portal on Friday, and since then, the former Rutgers and Loyola-Maryland star is hearing from a handful of elite programs across the country, NJ Advance Media reported. The list includes defending national champion UConn, former Big East powerhouse Georgetown, blue bloods Kentucky and Indiana, and NIL-equipped programs like Miami and Texas.

Last season, Spencer was the Scarlet Knights’ leading scorer as he averaged 13.2 points on 44.4% shooting on 10 shots per game — 45.3% from the field, 43.4% on 3s, 89.4% on free throws, with 3.8 rebounds, 3.1 assists and 2 steals in 31.5 minutes per game. That was the best shooting season of any Scarlet Knight from beyond the arc and at the free throw line in nearly a decade.

Spencer’s 3-point percentage was tied for 5th in a single-season in Rutgers history. His free throw percentage was 5th best in a single-season in program history. And his 69 steals was 6th most ever in a season by a Rutgers player. He scored in double-figures in 24 games, with 5 games of at least 20 points.
