When the Southeastern Conference released its men’s basketball players of the week, Kentucky freshman Cason Wallace found his name on the list.

The prospect out of Dallas, Texas was a force in the team’s latest win over Florida A&M. He totaled 27 points, 9 assists, 4 steals, and 2 rebounds on the victory in which he was the most key player on the court between the two teams.

He converted on 10-of-15 field goals (.667) and 5-of-6 3-points attempts in the contest against the Rattlers. Those 27 points are a career-best for Wallace and the 9 assists he tallied tie his career high.

With this, he also becomes the program’s first player of the Calipari era to score at least 27 points, have 9 assists and add 4 steals in a single game.

Wallace obviously still has plenty of time remaining in his college career and will be a name to watch in a future NBA draft.
