Chris Rodriguez, Kentucky star RB, announces Music City Bowl decision
Kentucky running back Chris Rodriguez is a name to watch in the 2023 NFL Draft and will not play another down of college football as the Wildcats face the Iowa Hawkeyes in the upcoming Music City Bowl.
Rodriguez announced Thursday that he would travel with the team to Nashville for the contest but that he would not play.
“Big Blue Nation, thank you for everything,” he wrote. “I can’t tell you how much your support this past year has meant to me. Although I’m going to sit out the bowl game to focus on my health and prepare for my lifelong dream of playing in the NFL, I’ll be in the Music City to support my brothers and I hope to see you there!”
