Chris 'The Bear' Fallica shares bold wish for SEC East race
Chris “The Bear” Fallica, a researcher and personality for ESPN’s “College GameDay TV,” has high hopes for the Kentucky Wildcats in the SEC East.
Fallica expressed his wishes for the popular pregame show to be in Lexington on Nov. 19 when the Wildcats host Georgia. But for that to happen, Fallica might need Kentucky to do something for the first time in 72 times.
“I hope they’re undefeated so we get to Lexington for the Georgia game,” Fallica said on a podcast, “Stanford Steve and The Bear.” “I want 10-0 (Kentucky) hosting Georgia on November 19th. We’ll see you at Kroger Field.”

Kentucky has only won 10 or more games 4 times in program history. Current head coach Mark Stoops had led the Wildcats to two 10-win seasons, finishing 10-3 in 2018 and 2021.
Previous to that the Wildcats went 10-1 in 1977 under Fran Curci.
But the only time Kentucky ran off 10 straight wins to start a season was in 1950 when the Wildcats went 11-1 and won a National Championship after beating No. 1 Oklahoma 13-7 in the 1951 Sugar Bowl.
The head coach of that historic team? Paul “Bear” Bryant.
It will be interesting to see if Fallica gets his wish.
Unfortunately for “The Bear” , Kentucky plays Tennessee in Knoxville on October 29. Kentucky has won in Knoxville exactly 1 (one) time in the last 38 years. There are parents who are graduates of KY who have kids who have graduated Ky, who have only seen that one (1) time. Possible though.
Before I scrolled down to the comments, I knew the first post would probably be a Tennessee fan crying about it.
Well Technically that 1950 UT Vols team won the Natty as they defeated that 1950 cat team. Sorry to bother you…
True… except they didn’t. Kentucky won the Natty. Period.
Maybe I’m wrong but I thought OU was the 1950 NC…
Look it up Covington sorry to bother you again. Geez these dog fans can’t accept they still don’t have close to the history the other SEC schools have…
Wrong Braves1471. That’s not how it works. Unless you are a ridiculous Vol fan… the most insecure fanbase in America. Constantly trying to pick a fight for no reason… and rarely any logic behind what you say. It was in fact Oklahoma, even though Kentucky beat them on New Year’s day in the Sugar Bowl. One of the polls listed Kentucky. The others listed Oklahoma. Kentucky also finished first in the SEC at 5-1 AHEAD of Tennessee which was 4-1. You can’t just cry and change the rules because you don’t like the outcome. Oh… and grow up you child.
Dog, apparently you missed that 5 major sports publications have Tennessee as the National Champions in 1950. 6 publications if you include Sangrin which has UT as Co Champions with you guessed it UK, the only publication that has UK as Champ. The insecurity of the GA fan base is claiming a 1942 title that if I last remember correctly all colleges in 1942 stopped fielding a football team because the Nation had bigger problems with WWII.
The coaches and AP had OU as the NC…
Nobody cares that the Vols were listed on the local McDonald’s menu as the NC…
Time, not the coaches just the AP and back in those days the AP never voted for Southern Schools. Try harder Gump.
What are you talking about? The AP and the UPI went with OU….
The UPI is the coaches… You’re trying to argue something that you clearly know nothing about…
Which were both heavily dominant northern state biased. 6 publications went to UT that year. How dense are you? Bama claims far less for a Natty…
You didn’t even know the UPI were the coaches… LMAO…
Like I said above, nobody cares 6 random non recognized selectors picked the Vols..
Both Major polls selected OU…
LMAO boy you really are a Gump. UT only team in the top 5 to win there bowl game, hence a Natty. Try again ma’am…
Beating UK and Vandy is about the only success Tennessee has had in the last 15 years except for the 2007 East Championship which was a fluke. Now they salvage their season by beating UK and hoping to get to a bowl game. Good luck.
How was the 2007 East title a fluke?
LOL. Okay.
Your screen name is hilarious…
Irvin dush is always good for a laugh Coliver
Hilariously stupid
You must be new here..
Likely? No. Possible? More than in any year since 1950.
The 1950 national championship was overturned after it was discovered that the abacus used to tally the votes was secretly connected to the internet. A pillow manufacturer saved the day.
Where’s Hunter?
rent free in that little pea brain of yours.
Now that’s funny right there!
It would be nice and there is a chance. But doubtful. Tennessee I’m not worried about it’s ole miss and South Carolina more likely to ruin the parade.By the way if you not noticed this is not your normal Kentucky teams lately. The only thing Tennessee can really play for is spoiler be at or likely to be competing in any bowl games
Not worried? Jeez, Kentucky is 5-39 over the last 44 years against Tennessee. I can understand a “cautiously optimistic” approach, but “not worried”?
At some point numbers have to mean something.
Of course, nothing much about that 1965, or whatever game you’re counting back to, has much to do with football lately.
It’s 3-2 over the last five years that might undermine your confidence at least a little. Quite a difference in winning percentage over the last five years.
Face it, UK is “snakebit” vs Tennessee. You beat the VOLS in Knoxville, I’ll drink your kool-aide this year. Until then, pfft.
I would absolutely love that!
Me, too.
Hunter is relaxing today…getting a lot of enjoyment from being the center of magamania…90% of Americans wish him well!
Let go of the past little buddy. The big guy has things well under control (sorry I can’t type that with a straight face).
This is NOT gonna happen. Sorry Krogercats.
This is just a fun article that could have plugged in various matchups. I’d love it if KY were 10-0 against the Dawgs. A little far fetched? Probably so. Kentucky fans, not long ago, were satisfied being competitive against the East. They have become that. It’s ok to want more and build on that. Nobody is taking the schedule lightly. Either Florida or TN would be huge wins on the road. Ole Miss is going to be tough. Win all of those? That would be a big season for sure! Can’t wait to get the season started!
Your exactly right we all here at Kentucky wish for that to play out like Bear said but in reality we know how far fetched that dream is. But there were no other schools fans on here we play this season but one talking it down and mad because it was not there school but Kentucky. To all them other SEC schools I wish good luck to and hope they do well but cannot bring myself to do the same for Vol fans they are by far worst bunch in SEC. Flordia LSU and Auburn and especially Georgia andAlabama fans could really rub in there success and accomplishments they have all had but none not even there worst fans come close to being a typical Tennessee fan
It’s just nice getting some attention from the talking heads. I’m 33 and it’s been tough most of my life watching the cats. Stoops has absolutely made this program a destination job. The fanbase and money is there. We’re a basketball school that’s been starving for a legit SEC football program. GO CATS!!!
