DJ Wagner has the potential to be one of the most exciting freshmen in the country next season.
The 5-star point guard has already shown his competence on a basketball court during Kentucky’s Gold medal run at GLOBL JAM in Toronto.
Wagner posted to his Instagram story Sunday to promote his upcoming community drive in his hometown community of Camden, NJ. The drive is the 2nd of its kind and will give schoolkids in Camden free school supplies as summer transitions into fall. The drive is to be hosted in August.
As a freshman, DJ Wagner is already giving back to his hometown community of Camden, NJ.
In August, Wagner will be hosting his second community drive, where kids will be given free school supplies.

Wagner is one of a few freshman who are very likely to see the starting lineup come November. The Wildcats return little production from last season’s squad, but welcome in the country’s No. 1 ranked recruiting class, including Wagner, Justin Edwards, Aaron Bradshaw, Reed Sheppard and more.
It seems more likely than not that both Wagner and Edwards, a 5-star small forward out of Philadelphia, will start right out of the gate for John Calipari in 2023-24.
