ESPN analyst breaks down Will Levis's game, what he must do to improve draft stock
Will Levis is a hot name in NFL Draft circles these days. He’s being projected as a Round 1 pick in the 2023 NFL Draft, with some analysts having him going No. 1 overall, even ahead of guys like Bryce Young and CJ Stroud.
So, what is it about Levis that is making his stock rise so quickly? And, how can he improve this fall in order to ensure he does hear his name called in Round 1?
ESPN analyst Jordan Reid broke down Levis in a series of tweets on Tuesday morning. He said he wants to see Levis improve on his decision making and footwork:
Decision making must improve (13 INTs last year). Lots of his issues stem from lower half inconsistencies, failure to feel pressure points, and an elongated internal clock.
Mississippi St. and Mizzou games are littered with examples of these flaws, but UGA game had good moments.

He added that he wants to see Levis keep his eyes downfield when he escapes the pocket instead of committing to running immediately:
Levis must become better with back hip rotation into his throws. A lot of times, he leaves his back foot in place and it results in him spraying/overthrowing his intended targets.
New play-caller and perimeter weapons. Will be interesting to see how he progresses next season.

Levis has the talent to become an even bigger star this fall. We’ll see if the early love for the No. 1 overall pick pans out or not.
