Former Kentucky Wildcats wide receiver Lynn Bowden Jr. will suit up for the New Orleans Saints (1-0) as he signed with the team for an active roster spot on Wednesday, September 13.

Bowden moves up from the Saints’ practice squad to the 53-man roster for the first time this season ahead of a Week 2 NFC South Division contest with the Carolina Panthers (0-1) on September 18. He signed with the Saints this offseason and played in preseason where he tallied 3 catches for 40 yards plus returning kicks and punts.

It won’t be much longer before the Bluegrass State is up and running with a mouthwatering DraftKings Kentucky Promo Code. In the meantime, Kentucky sports bettors looking to edge the competition can pre-register with DraftKings Kentucky Sportsbook en route to a tremendous $200 Pre-Launch Bonus.

Returning went well for Bowden as he tallied 61 yards on 3 kickoff returns and 43 yards on 5 punt returns. If Bowden plays on Sunday, it will mark his 12th career game since the Las Vegas Raiders drafted him with a third-round pick in 2020.

A 6-foot-0, 201-pound receiver, Bowden impressed scouts during his 3 seasons with Kentucky in 38 career games. He tallied 114 receptions for 1,303 yards and 6 touchdowns plus 206 rushing attempts for 1,530 yards and 13 touchdowns with the Wildcats from 2017 to 2019.

Bowden never played for the Raiders as the team traded him to the Miami Dolphins in September 2020. He played in 10 games for the Dolphins as a rookie and tallied 28 receptions for 211 yards plus 9 carries for 32 yards.

Injuries curtailed his time in Miami as the team released him in 2022 following a year on injured reserve in 2021. The New England Patriots signed Bowden, and he appeared in one game in 2022, but the Patriots waived him in May this year.
