Former Kentucky WR Garrett Johnson didn’t hear his name called during the 2018 NFL Draft, but ended up signing with the Chicago Bears as an undrafted free agent.
After playing for the Bears during the preseason, he didn’t make the regular season roster and wasn’t signed by any other NFL squads.
Now, he’s taking his talents north of the border. On Monday, Johnson announced that he had signed a contract with the Winnipeg Blue Bombers for the 2019 season:
Excited to announce that I have agreed to terms with the @Wpg_BlueBombers thank you for this opportunity! #juice

Johnson showcased plenty of talent during his four years at Kentucky, finishing his career with 156 catches for 2,095 yards and 11 touchdowns.
We’ll see how he fares in the CFL and if he can eventually make his way back to the NFL.
