Former North Carolina State quarterback Devin Leary is expected to transfer to Kentucky, according to a report from Matt Zenitz of On3 Sports.

This is a solid addition for the Wildcats following the departure of standout signal-caller Will Levis to the 2023 NFL Draft as the team looks to bounce back from a disappointing 7-5 season that was projected to be much better on paper ahead of the fall.

Leary was among the best quarterbacks in his conference and was largely considered to be the best or one of the best players in the transfer portal after he recently entered. Leary finished out the 2022 season with a 61.1% completion rate, throwing for 1,265 yards with 11 touchdowns and 4 interceptions over 6 games before he was sidelined with a season-ending injury.

How he fares in an SEC environment will be something to watch and is something that could improve his draft stock moving forward.
