The Miami Heat selected former Kentucky sharpshooter Tyler Herro in the first round of the 2019 NBA Draft.

That pick has paid off so far, and that was apparent on Monday night. In a preseason game against the Atlanta Hawks, Herro was on fire to start the game.

As you can see below, the rookie guard hit his first 5 shots, including 4 threes, while scoring the Heat’s first 14 points:

Herro is lethal from long range, and that is carrying over to the NBA, it seems.

How much will he be on the floor when the regular season starts? We’ll find out in a few short days when the NBA schedule starts for real.
