WATCH: Kentucky band pays tribute to Jared Lorenzen at halftime of team’s season opener

Jared Lorenzen may be gone but he’s not been forgotten.

The former Kentucky great passed away this offseason at the age of 38 after battling through kidney and heart issues but his presence remains a strong part of the football program in Lexington, as the school’s band showed on Saturday.

During halftime of Kentucky’s season opener against Toledo, the band honored Lorenzen by forming the No. 22 at the break, which is the number made famous by the former UK quarterback in Lexington.

It was a touching tribute that deserves recognition:
