Faced with the option of declaring for the NFL Draft or coming back for a 6th and final season, Weaver chose the latter. Here’s the video he posted to his X account on Thursday with his decision:

“I’m coming back for my last year. You dig?” he said.
Weaver’s veteran presence will be felt within the Wildcats defense in 2024. A former 4-star recruit from Louisville out of the class of 2019, he has posted 160 tackles, 30.5 tackles for a loss, and 15.0 sacks during his career. In 2023, he made 40 tackles while tying for 3rd on the team in TFLs (6.5) and coming in 2nd in sacks (5.0).
His best year with the Wildcats came in 2021, as he totaled 10.5 stops for a loss (2nd only to Josh Paschal) and a team-high 6.5 sacks. He also was a coaches’ pick for the SEC’s all-freshman team in 2020 as he registered 6.5 TFLs, tied for 2nd on the team.
Now, Weaver will return to Lexington in 2024 to wrap up what’s been a successful college career.
