John Calipari announced Saturday afternoon that Aaron Bradshaw will make his Wildcats debut against UNC Wilmington at 4 p.m. ET.

Bradshaw, Kentucky’s 5-star 7-footer from the 2023 recruiting cycle, suffered a foot injury during the offseason, which slowed his progress getting back to the court.

At the same time he updated Bradshaw’s status, Calipari also provided an update for standouts freshman guard DJ Wagner, who suffered an injury against Miami. While Bradshaw makes his season debut Wagner will miss Saturday’s game.

Bradshaw’s presence on the court will be interesting to see, for a few reasons. Of course, the Wildcat faithful will finally be able to see what Bradshaw can do. But the 7-footer may also change a few aspects of how Kentucky plays.

Simply put, the Wildcats are fast. They are excellent in transition offensively and struggle in that regard defensively, while hitting at a fantastic rate from range. Will they be able to run as fast with Bradshaw on the court, or will the Cats work more inside?

Kentucky tips off against UNC Wilmington in just a few minutes.
