John Calipari reveals the touching thing Kentucky players did after SEC Tournament was canceled
The SEC and NCAA Tournaments were both canceled this year amid an outbreak of COVID-19.
However, the first 2 games of the SEC tourney were played, and the Kentucky Wildcats were already in Nashville before the tourney was officially canceled.
According to coach John Calipari, when the Wildcats got back to Lexington after the SEC Tournament was canceled, they decided to play 1 last pickup game together:
John Calipari just said on his radio show that after getting back from Nashville and learning the NCAA Tournament was canceled, the team played one final game of pickup and sat down and cried together.
I CAN’T HANDLE THIS RIGHT NOW.

That’s obviously not the ending the Wildcats imagined, but these are extraordinary circumstances. Unfortunately for Coach Cal and Kentucky, this was a year when the Wildcats had serious Final Four potential.
We’ll see how things go for Kentucky next year, but this was certainly a sad way for the year to end.
