Injured Washington Wizards star John Wall is returning to college to finish his degree, per Fred Katz.

Wall, who ruptured his Achilles tendon and is set to to miss 12 months after slipping and falling at his home, is close to graduating. He also attended classes at UK last summer.

Wall played one year at Kentucky and won the SEC Player of the Year Award in 2009-10. He led the Cats with 16.6 points per game before becoming the No. 1 overall pick in the NBA Draft.

He was averaging 20.7 points per game and 8.7 assists per game before suffering a heel injury that required surgery in December.
