Kentucky football added its 14th overall commitment in the Class of 2024 cycle Saturday, earning a pledge from 3-star wide receiver David Washington Jr.

Washington hails from St. Joseph’s prep in Philadelphia and stands at 6-feet, 185 pounds. He chose the Wildcats over the likes of Virgnia, Maryland, Penn State, Oregon, Wisconsin and Pitt, to name a few.

The rising senior receiver liked what he saw from Kentucky on his official visit from June 6. Here’s his Tweet announcing his commitment Saturday:

Washington is considered to be the No. 715 overall prospect in the Class of 2024, as well as the No. 93 WR and No. 23 player out of the state of Pennsylvania.

Washington represents Kentucky’s first true WR commit of the cycle, though 3-star ATH Jiquavious Marshall played both WR and CB in high school and could be used as a receiver in college. Still, it’s more likely Marshall sticks in the secondary in Lexington.
