Kentucky has its quarterback for the class of 2025.

The Wildcats earned a commitment from 4-star quarterback Stone Saunders on Friday afternoon. He chose UK over programs such as Georgia, Miami, Duke, West Virginia and others.

Here’s his announcement:

Saunders is a big-time pickup for Kentucky. He’s the No. 305 overall player and the No. 20 quarterback in the country for the class of 2024, per 247Sports Composite rankings. He’s also the No. 8 player from Pennsylvania.

He attends Bishop McDevitt High School in Harrisburg, Penn. He’s listed at 6-foot-2, 195 pounds.

Saunders is the first prospect to commit to Kentucky in the class of 2025. He will now be in position to help the Wildcats recruit other talented players for that cycle.

Saunders continues a line of strong quarterback recruiting in Lexington. Kentucky has a commitment from 4-star Cutter Boley in the class of 2024. Boley was originally a 2025 recruit, but re-classified earlier this offseason.

Here are some highlights from Saunders’ sophomore year of high school:
