Chase Couch, son of former Kentucky star Tim Couch, took to Twitter to announce that he has received a scholarship offer from the Wildcats.

The younger Couch is a 6-foot-4 and 230-pound Edge prospect out of Lexington Christian Academy. Chase is not a rated prospect as of yet by the 247 Sports Composite but has NFL bloodlines and a good size.

Chase’s father Tim starred for the Wildcats from 1996-1998. Tim would end up being the 1st overall pick in the 1999 NFL Draft by the Cleveland Browns. The elder Couch still holds several passing records for the Wildcats, including the single-season passing yards record.

The elder Couch played 5 seasons for the Browns before ultimately ending his playing career. Couch still lives in Lexington and has gotten into broadcasting after wrapping up his playing career.

Chase Couch also announced a scholarship offer from nearby Eastern Kentucky. It will be interesting to see if the younger Couch follows in his father’s footsteps as his recruitment ramps up.
