It’s always sweet to flip the commitment of an out-of-state prospect from your bitter rival.

Hollywood, Florida, wide receiver/athlete Akeem Hayes flipped his commitment from Louisville to Kentucky Tuesday night. He had been committed to the Cardinals since late April. Hayes is rated as a 3-star prospect and ranked as the No. 65 athlete and the No. 130 overall prospect in the state of Florida, according to 247Sports Composite Rankings.

Hayes became the Wildcats’ 13th commitment for the class of 2018, and he joins high school teammates Marvin Alexander and Davoan Hawkins as Kentucky pledges. As the Wildcats are becoming a big staple in the state of Ohio, getting down into South Florida more will only be an added benefit. South Florida produces tons of talent every recruiting cycle, and the Cats think they have three good ones in this recruiting class.

Hayes released the news via his Twitter account.
