Kentucky has recruited at an elite level under coach John Calipari. But, this year, a different style has led to success in Lexington.

This is one of Calipari’s oldest Kentucky teams. Davion Mintz, Jacob Toppin, Keion Brooks Jr. and others are back from last year’s squad. Meanwhile, veteran transfers like Sahvir Wheeler, Kellan Grady and Oscar Tshiebwe have filled huge roles for the Wildcats. TyTy Washington is the only freshman who gets consistent playing time.

With Wheeler potentially returning in 2022-23, it is understandable that 5-star 2022 PG Skyy Clark has decided to reopen his recruitment and has requested a release from his Letter of Intent:

Per the 247Sports composite rankings, Clark is the No. 5 point guard in the class of 2022 and the No. 7 overall recruit from the state of Florida.

Where he ends up next remains to be seen, but it seems his time as a member of Kentucky’s 2022 class has come to an end.
