The Kentucky Wildcats finished the regular season with a 9-3 record, just outside of the New Year’s 6 bowl consideration.

However, the Wildcats will still be going to a prestigious bowl game, as it was reported on Sunday that they’d be heading to Orlando to play in the Citrus Bowl.

First reported by Brett McMurphy, the Wildcats will meet Big Ten foe Penn State at Camping World Stadium on Jan. 1. The school confirmed the news soon after.

This will be a showdown between Kentucky RB Benny Snell Jr. and Penn State QB Trace McSorley, who will have to evade pressure from Wildcats’ LB/DE Josh Allen.

The game will kick off at 1 p.m. Eastern time on New Year’s Day and can be seen on ABC.
