Kentucky picks up 6th commitment for 2023 with addition of in-state Edge prospect
Kentucky picked up another commitment for 2023 Saturday afternoon. This time, it’s another in-state prospect that the Wildcats are keeping home.
The player is Tommy Ziesmer, a 3-star Edge prospect out of Danville, Kentucky. He announced his commitment to the Wildcats over offers from Tennessee, Purdue, Louisville and West Virginia among others.

According to the 247 Sports Composite Rankings, Ziesmer is the No. 6 player out of Kentucky and No. 44 Edge prospect in the country for the class of 2023. His commitment brings Kentucky’s class of 2023 up to six commitments with a definite focus on locking down the state.
With the addition of Ziesmer, the Wildcats now hold commitments from 4 of the top 10 prospects out of Kentucky for the cycle. Kentucky’s highest-ranked commitment in the class of 2023 is currently 4-star WR Shamar Porter out of Nashville, Tennessee.
