Kentucky QB commit Jarren Williams receives rave reviews during The Opening
Jarren Williams is currently rated as the nation’s No. 297 overall prospect according to 247Sports Composite Rankings metric. Judging by his strong performance at Nike’s The Opening summer camp, look for Kentucky’s 2018 quarterback commit to take a significant jump up in the rankings in the near future.
While he was already highly regarded prior to his appearance at The Opening, Williams once decommitted from the Wildcats following elite programs Alabama, Florida, Georgia and Tennessee showing him increased attention on the recruiting trail, his stock could be at an all-time high following his most recent performance.
In fact, Williams’ Opening team selected him to start over Clemson commit, and No. 1 overall prospect in the nation, Trevor Lawrence in crunch time.
Interesting that Savage Pro is starting UK commit Jarren Williams over Trevor Lawrence in key elimination game. #BBN

The move did not go unnoticed in the recruiting world, and apparently, it was warranted:
Jarren Williams has earned that right. Hot hand. We've seen things like this at The Opening before. #BBN is getting a gem. https://t.co/j6Qy6fpD4o

I PERSONALLY do not give @Jarren2Williams enough credit. Dude is special player as well in 2018 class at QB. Holds his own in any setting.

Should the Wildcats hold on to Williams’ commitment for good and eventually sign the touted prospect, Big Blue Nation could soon be getting a very special talent in the Georgia native.
