Kentucky senior DL Denzil Ware announces transfer from Mark Stoops’ program

Thursday was a big day for Denzil Ware. He earned his undergraduate degree from Kentucky but also announced the surprising decision to leave the football program.
The redshirt senior will utilize the graduate transfer rule for this final season of college football and be eligible immediately at his next destination. He has yet to announce where that will be at this time.
Ware appeared in 12 games for the Wildcats last season but was suspended for Kentucky’s bowl game. The reason for his suspension was never announced. He made 48 tackles and 6.5 sacks for the team in 2017. He also intercepted a pass and forced two fumbles last season.
